Thirteen is a Taiwan rock band. Formed in 2001, the group consisted of lead
singer Bow, guitarist Liam, bassist Ping and drummer Adam. Thirteen’s music
is inspired by the Britpop scene in the 90s, and therefore shows refreshing
sounds of catchy, guitar-based melodies and fantasy-painted lyrics. The
messages in their songs are about love, hope and positive energy. At the
center of the band are the brothers Bug and Liam, both graduated from visual
design majors. As a result, their live performance often infuses painterly and
colorful images into the stage, making music that combines rock songs with
visual art. The band has been invited to perform in the different festivals in
Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. They also try to expand their experiences
by performing in live houses, campuses and commercial renditions.

Formed in 2011, Seoul, Korea’s Asian Chairshot took their name from a powerful (and very illegal) move done by many a professional wrestler to knock out their opponents – the famed “chair shot.” And just like a chair shot, the trio’s hard-hitting mix of psychedelic music, garage rock, and alt-rock usually has little trouble stopping people dead in their tracks.
Bamboo Star is the latest chapter out of Hong Kong rock music. Described as “classic rock with a contemporary edge, and maybe a hint of J-Rock”. Founding members lead singer Wolf Red and guitarist Terrish took on the name Bamboo Star (phonetically pronounced ‘Jook Sing’ in Cantonese) which refers to Chinese people who have Western backgrounds. As a four-man band, the powerful, high-pitched and layered vocal harmonies, combined with blistering, blues-driven guitar solos are reminiscent of the classic rock style that we know and love, but Bamboo Star brings it forward with a modern sound and twist. Bunkface is a Malaysian Punk Rock band formed in 2005. The band consist of lead vocalist and guitarist Shamsul Annuar or most well known as Sam, bassist and backing vocalist Youk, and lead guitarist Pa'an. Original drummer, Biak who came out with the band name "Bunkface" , left the band in 2009. Bunkface first english track , Silly Lilly made it to the local english radio charts, followed by their first Malay single "Situasi" that instantly brought them to Malaysia mainstream music scene . Naoto Inti Raymi is a singer-songwriter born in Mie prefecture growing up in Chiba, Japan. Naoto traveled and performed alone to 28 countries in 515 days, to absorb the global culture and music. "Inti Raymi" means "festival of the sun" in Incan language. Naoto made his major debut on April, 2010 and successfully performed at the Tokyo Budokan Hall that December.

The musical and stylistic elements of Stars and Rabbit are grounded and rooted in acoustic, pop, and early folk with raw simplicity of composition, arrangement, and performance. Specifically, the band's most prominent influences such as Emiliana Torrini, Russian Red, Jewel, and Radiohead.

artistry – the talented few who write, compose and sing their own music material.
Melbourne indie-pop outfit, Tully on Tully, have been playing together, honing their craft since 2011. Stemming from lyricist Natalie Foster's innate ability to write a catchy melody, Tully on Tully brings together delicate tunes and infectious hooks with all the heart-warming sensibilities of a full-piece band. Tully on Tully return to Singapore for Music Matters from Canada having played at Canadian Music Week in Toronto. 2013 saw the band’s first visit to Singapore along with the Philippines when they were invite to play Manila’s Wanderland Festival. Debut EP ‘Weightless’ was independently released in 2013 and showcases the band’s spiraling guitar work, stunning vocal delivery and intrinsic song writing.
wyd:syd began as a project between friends Marcus Tan (vocals), Eugene Huang (guitars) and Jared Oh (drums) in early 2012. The band’s current line-up was completed when Aaron Pereira (bass) and Ridhwan Malik (guitars) joined soon after. With each member’s distinctive musical influences and contributions, the band explores and blends musical elements from ambient, indie and conventional rock music in hopes of creating an enjoyable and unique soundscape.
Ying Hao is a Heavy Metal vocalist, singer/songwriter, and Singapore's only oriental hokkien heavy metal artiste. His musical journey started at the age of 15, when he picked up the bass guitar, but slowly grew interest towards songwriting, composing, and eventually, singing. Ying Hao has recently released his first Chinese/Hokkien Rock release entitled: "Black Panther". The release showcases a diverse blend of Metal, with an Asian/Oriental slant, further driven by influential Hokkien lyrics. With new intense material in the works, Ying Hao is set to take his brand of Oriental-infused Chinese rock music across international shores.

KURO, which means 'BLACK' in Japanese, is the newest concept restaurant & bar to open in Clarke Quay.
Its dim cosy interior is a mix of minimalism and industrialism, old world charm and modern eclecticism, yet surprisingly warm in its atmosphere. Stone bricks and concrete walls juxtapose with wood floorings. Huge rusty iron doors with big hatch wheels flank the entrance. Incandescent vintage light fixtures with glowing filaments give a warm vibe to counter the black ceiling and stark black bar stools of interesting designs. Recycled vintage wood planks from an old church are used in the walls, table tops and bar top.
